幻影荷花 Hidden Beauty
荷花是我最喜歡的花之一。它從一堆爛泥巴長出，卻仍然那麼乾淨純潔，ㄧ點髒污都沒有。
而蓮蓬是荷花的果實，只有花謝了蓮蓬才會存在，是另一個美麗生命的延伸。這像是提醒鼓勵了我，無論周圍有什麼困難，都可以堅持往前，過著美好的生活。
雖然蓮蓬是在花瓣都凋落了才會出現。但在這幅作品中，我想同時展現美麗的荷花以及蓮蓬。所以我運用布的色階，讓蓮蓬以漂浮的影像，在另一個圖層出現。
當我們欣賞荷花時，也看見隱藏在背後的美麗。
The lotus is one of my favorite flowers because its petals are pure and beautiful, even though it grows out from the mud and dirt. Even when its flowers die, the seed pods arise and provide a different kind of beauty and new life. It reminds me that no matter what difficulties surround me, I can persevere and still live a beautiful life.
In this quilt, I wanted to highlight the beautiful lotus flower, as well as its seed pod, which emerges only after all the petals have wilted and fallen off. I used the color scale value of the fabric to create a fading effect to show the seed pod as a floating image appearing on another layer.
Although the lotus flower and its seed pod are never visible simultaneously, when I admire the flower, I also appreciate the beauty of its hidden seed pod.
